When the writer says “if a man’s house is a castle, a teenager’s room is their showroom.” it is a metaphor that shows the difference between eras. Teenager’s rooms often display their identity and what they like. As the years go on teenager’s rooms change Before they had to go down the hall to use the phone to communicate with friends whereas now they can enjoy talking to their friends and do almost everything from the comfort of their own room.
