Essay work

In animal farm, the most memorable idea is that old major/Karl Marx wanted a rebellion to start. this in real life connects to the Marxist theory. which I’ll be saying why, how and who created it.

This paragraph will say why it started. originally the Karl Marx theory is that if you push people down, they will eventually rise up and try to overthrow you. As numbers grow the government can’t control or keep them all fed so they have power in numbers. they have the motive to fight even harder, for the rebellion to work and for them to have success. it made me curious, if the rich can be feed and have plentiful feasts, then why don’t they share, why don’t they help each other. An example of this happening is in old majors speech when he says “Now, comrades, what is the nature of this life of ours? Let us face it: our lives are miserable, laborious, and short. We are born, we are given just so much food as will keep the breath in our bodies, and those of us who are capable of it are forced to work to the last atom of our strength; and the very instant that our usefulness has come to an end we are slaughtered with hideous cruelty.” from this you can tell that the life they have is no good and is bound to spark a rebellion. and it did exactly that. this is why the revolution in animal farm and in Russia. from constant neglect, deprivation of food and education. they were their own undoing.

This paragraph is about how it comes to be that the rebellion in animal farm and the Russian revolution happened. Animal farm and the Russian revolution are the same things, just names are changed. in both cases, the people who suffered and were abandoned had enough. this peaks my interest because it’s always the people in power who makes peoples lives miserable and irritable, it’s never the other way round. old major/Karl Marx touches on the subject of slavery and torture ” The life of an animal is misery and slavery.” I find these points interesting because old major notices how he’s being used and manipulated and wants to put an end to it and this is why it’s memorable to me.”But is this simply part of the order of nature? Is it because this land of ours is so poor that it cannot afford a decent life to those who dwell upon it?” this just shows how Mr. Jones manipulated the animals into being obedient for so long. this made me really think about how manipulative people can be and how some people can do nothing about it until one person does do something. In conclusion, this is why it peaks my interest because I find it interesting how people use people but never help others, they just take and never give.

Hi Kyle,

Remember to follow the SEXY structure. Statement at the beginning saying what the paragraph is about. Explain what your statement means. Provide an eXample that relates to your explanation. Discuss Your opinion talking about the author’s purpose, connections to outside the novel and link back to your statement.

Avoid using phrases like “I will be…”, “I will say…”. This is informal language which doesn’t fit in an essay. Instead of say “I will say why it started”, simply say it started.

Remember this essay is about what makes an idea in Animal Farm memorable. This means what specific things in the novel does Orwell do to make your idea memorable. At the moment you are not discussing what makes your idea memorable. Think about the writing techniques Orwell uses. You are currently only answering the first part of the question. Do forget to do the explain part of the question.

Good start Kyle. Keep working.
