morals, stars, dramatic irony
In the play Macbeth, The main character Macbeth starts off as a hero but slowly descends into madness and loses all respect and power to his name. The reasons he falls out of power is shown in many ways, either it’s through stars or through his morals changing. When Macbeth is heading to kill Duncan he sees a knife covered in blood, yet Macbeth cannot grab the blade. The blade is representing an evil action that is about to occur and how Macbeth doesn’t feel like he can kill Duncan.
When Macbeth goes to kill Duncan he talks about how the “stars hide your fires”, this is Macbeth asking for heaven to not look as he kills the king, chosen by god.
